The mill continued to operate until 1892. In 1909 a storm blew the sails away and in 1912 it was gutted by fire. My workplace is pretty toxic (several doctors classified it as emotionally abusive) and has been a major contributor to my decline in health overall. Since being off work, my depression has improved drastically, my blood pressure has dropped 30 points back to it's normal almost-to-low range, my pulse has gone back to normal, my energy levels have improved, and my fitness levels have improved. I'm also no longer suicidal. So, work is definitely the main cause. When I go back, I'm going to ask for some accommodations that I think will help me work better and keep me from spiraling back into partial hospitalization. Up until the FMLA leave, no one at work knew I had a mental illness. I did ask to work from home or from a quiet place to focus better, though my boss didn't want me doing it more than once a month (I think every other week or weekly would be more appropriate and members of higher levels of management already do this).
