One drop bag per runner is permitted for each of the following locations Checkpoint 2 (QCCC – Start/Finish) – 22. 5km Checkpoint 3 (Sam Kelly Rd) – 41km Checkpoint 4 (Mapleton Day Use Area) – 63km & 92km Checkpoint 5 (Cooloolabin Dam Day Use Area) – 74km 50km Checkpoint 2 (QCCC – Start/Finish) Checkpoint 3 (Sam Kelly Rd) – 19km Checkpoint 4 (Mapleton Day Use Area) - 41km 21km No Drop Bags Checkpoint drop bags must be delivered to the designated drop bag area at registration on the Friday evening between 3. 30pm and 8pm. It is the responsibility of the runner to ensure drop bags are placed into the correct area for the checkpoint. Drop bags must be closable and SOFT (Woolworths/Coles Cool Bag is strongly recommended). Plastic bags/garbage bags and hard plastic boxes will not be accepted. Checkpoint drop bags must be less than 15 litres in volume and less than 2kg in weight. No glass containers to be put in drop bags. All drop bags must be clearly marked with surname, race number and checkpoint number (CP2, CP3, CP4, CP5).

The film is an immensely skillful cinematic collage, and it isn't afraid to lean into the disconnected and fragmented nature of Hoon's videos. The result is an impressionistic portrait of the late musician that suggests its being transmitted directly from his mind. There's no narration, no talking head interviews. This is entirely Shannon's perspective, mostly from his own filming over the course of several years. He comes across as an unspoiled, charismatic and mostly amiable young man. Not a bad videographer, either. Although most of his footage is squarely out of the Queasy-Cam home movie camp, the more he shoots the more he develops an eye for strangely lonely seascapes and gloomy sunsets. At one point, he talks about maybe making films one day. We watch as he escapes a dead-end life of blue-collar drudgery in rural Indiana for sunny Los Angeles, forming a band of like-minded musicians who make such an immediate impression they get a record deal with Tower Records while only having five recorded songs.
