The accommodations at Port Phillip Estate feel like a well-kept secret. The rooms themselves are very private, downstairs underneath the tasting area and restaurant, and have stunning views of the back property, including the vineyards--and the bay! The entry to the downstairs area as well as the rooms themselves are controlled electronically, since there is no staff at the estate after 5 pm. It's more like a bed and breakfast in that sense. The rooms are huge, with a separate sitting area, couch, and table as well as a big TV. The bed is on a raised platform, and the bathroom is very spacious, with a full soaking tub and a nice rain shower. We had lunch at the restaurant, which was one of the best meals on our trip, and also really enjoyed the wines from the estate. The daily breakfast provided was very nice and a good amount of food--yogurt, granola, two loaves of bread, juice, and milk. It wasn't a ton of food but was perfectly adequate for a breakfast. We also considered staying at Jackalope, and we did go there for dinner and thought it was very cool, but it's definitely a larger hotel versus Port Phillip.
